To be eligible for appointment as a Type Rated Instructor, applicants must have the following experience and qualifications:

 

  • Australian CPL (CASR Part 61)
  • Instrument Rating - MEA with IAP2D and IAP3D endorsements (CASR Part 61)
  • 200 hrs in multi crew operations
  • Demonstrated high standard of proficiency
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Sound knowledge of Civil Aviation Safety legislation applicable to Air Transport operations and Flight Crew training and licencing
  • An in-depth understanding of Human Factors and non-technical skills.


The following qualifications would be highly regarded:


  • ATPL
  • A330/350 Type Rating
  • Flight or Simulator Instructor Rating, with IR A and A330/350 TR endorsements
  • Previous training experience.
